- Multiple locations. Nurse educators instruct classes year-round in multiple communities, including Bloomer, Chippewa Falls, Eau Claire, Frederic, Osseo, and Rice Lake. We may be able to offer classes in other communities as well — Amery, Augusta, Barron, Black River Falls, Bloomer, Chetek, Cumberland, Durand, Hayward, Ladysmith, Menomonie, Mondovi, Neillsville, Turtle Lake, Spooner, Superior, and Whitehall to name a few. We recently held a CARE U training session for several Dove Healthcare employees that provide direct care for older adults. Originally started by the Center for Aging Research and Education at the University of Wisconsin School of Nursing, the training covered topics of person-centered care, emergency preparedness and dementia. A big THANK YOU to the Health Resources and Services Administration, Geriatrics Workforce Enhancement Program (award U1Q53041) for providing funding to make this possible!

Independent Hospice House CNA training is completed at the end of the in-person class. Skilled Nursing Facility CNA training: requires additional 40 hours of on-the-job oversite and testing at the facility where employed.
